BRIEF BIOGRAPHY

Jacob Ethan Chattman (IMDb Page) is an American film and television actor, producer and award winning screenwriter. He was born to Joann Chattman, an elementary school teacher, and Dr. Martin S. Chattman, an emergency physician. He married his long time girlfriend Christina Peterson in June of 2017. His ancestry includes Russian Jewish, English, Scottish, and Irish.

Originally from Cave Creek, AZ, he started his theatrical journey at the age of 8 playing the lead roll in a mime production of the Nutcracker. Over the next 15 years he studied and performed mime and movement theater under C. Nicholas Johnson. After graduating with an economics degree from the University of Arizona in 2008, Jacob moved to Boston, MA to play bass guitar in an indie rock band named Lagoon, which toured New England for nearly 4 years. While performing music, Jacob discovered a new love for film and television acting and writing. After the band dissolved (as they often do), Jacob decided to further his career by moving to Los Angeles and has starred in a number of feature films, television pilots, and series episodes (IMDb Page)

In 2009, Jacob met the man who would become his writing partner, Gustave Cadet. Together they have multiple projects in development and have completed a sitcom pilot called "The Feed" which won the 2018 Creative World Awards for best original television sitcom, a science fiction pilot entitled "After We Fall," which won second place in the 2018 Fresh Voices Screenwriting Contest for 1 hour pilots and  placed in the finals of the People's Pilot Contest and the 2018 Creative World Awards, and a full feature comedy called "Teflon Playa," which placed in the quarterfinals for the 2017 PAGE International Screenwriting Awards.

In January 2017, Jacob produced his first Short Film "Pros & Cons" along with director Jabbar Raisani, which is currently being submitted to festivals around the country.  In November 2017, Jacob with his close friend Jordan Butcher penned and produced a science fiction pilot called SOLUS, which was filmed Q1 of 2018. SOLUS is now complete and in festivals, winning the Independent Short Awards for Best Film, Best Director (male), Best Sound Design, Best Visual FX and Best Score in June 2021.

Only July 7th, 2021 Jacob published his first book, a graphic novel adaptation of a fantasy screenplay entitled “Moons, Vol. 1,” which is now available on Comixology.
